TREASURE UNLIMITED

All places where women are excluded tend downward to barbarism; but the moment she is introduced, there come in with her courtesy, cleanliness, sobriety, and order- Harriet Beecher Stowe

What women rightly long for is spiritual and moral initiative from a man, not spiritual and moral domination.- John Piper

The woman really is a beautiful creation, her emotions, her body, her attitude, thought patterns etc. But it’s such a pity that this beautiful creature of God has been a victim of abuse and misuse over the years.

Serial killers targets are mostly females than males.
Sexual assault victims are more of females, 81% of juvenile sexual assaults victims are females. Nearly 5,300,000 violence accidents occur each year in the US, all of them women from 18 and above
1 in 5 Girls is a victim of sexual abuse

Misogyny: a term used to describe the hatred or dislike of women or girls. Misogyny can be manifested in numerous ways, including sexual discrimination, belittling of women, violence against women and sexual objectification of women (Wikipedia).

According to sociologist Allan G. Johnson, "misogyny is a cultural attitude of hatred for females because they are female.

Misogyny is manifested in many different ways, from jokes to pornography to violence to the self-contempt women may be taught to feel toward their own bodies.

In African countries, there is still a gender inequality, women have fewer or no rights to inheritance. When women undertake paid work, with jobs entailing the same type of work as the men, there is still a wide gap in wages. All around the world, there is still this mentality that women are the weaker vessels, useless, doomed to domestic chores, child birth and child care.
It is such a pity that some women are still thinking this same way. They still have the same mentality that no matter their educational achievements or how successful they become, they will still end up in the kitchen

Now I’m not here to talk about female liberation or how we are going to stay on top of the men. But I want our eyes to be open to see what really we are created for. I want us to begin to see an era of women who are not just known for their domestic capabilities but much more. Women who will affect lives and work hand in hand, equally with the men, to create a better world wherever they live. The bible in “Gen 2:” regarded us as “help meets” not just to our current or future husbands, but to men all around the world. As sisters, daughters, wives, mothers, in our homes, communities and beyond.

I got to realize that the reason for such abuse and mutilation of women over the years, is because the world hasn’t really seen what we are embedded with. Our gifts, abilities that even the men can’t do without. Even we ourselves haven’t seen it. Join me as we look and see what women indeed are capable of. Its a treasure box about to be opened.
