MODESTY, in this CENTURY?

 The issue of modesty has been a controversial topic for centuries..what then is modesty?
 Modesty is an attitude of propriety and decency in dress, grooming, language, and behavior. when you are modest,you do not want to draw undue attention to yourself..it is also a symbol of humility,as you seek to draw attention to God,thereby glorifying God.

So does modesty mean you should look shabby or unkempt? NAH!
 A woman's outfit should be tight enough to show that she is a woman and also loose enough to show she is a lady. with the whole societal craze about weight loss,looking good and all, society as forced women to succumb to the latest fads and trends, so as to fit in.Women are no longer confident in their natural looks,so they have to result to different ways to fit in into societal accepted  looks.

So,is modesty really that important? after all its my body,i am comfortable in showing it off.. the issue is this,the beauty of a woman reflects in her shape,curves,lines and smile,knowing there's something there but not really able to see it.when we show off what should be hidden,we are indirectly giving the public access to it.

You could also argue, i dress up for myself and not for others to see. Every woman should be able to look confident and comfortable in her natural looks. If you cant go out without makeup on,do without earrings, if you cant wear a loose,ankle length,long sleeved gown and feel beautiful and confident,then there's something wrong somewhere.If you have something you cant part with,if there's something you cant do without,you don't own it,it owns you.you are a slave to it.(Rom6:16)

So the question to ask now will be,what is the source of a woman's beauty? is it in the clothes she wear?, is it in showing off her curves?,is it in the makeup she puts on?'
 
A woman's beauty comes from within.i know this might sound cliche,but hear me out.. have you ever met someone,who you just cant seem to figure out,she smiles and lights up the whole room,she is not so expensively or outrageously dressed,she has no makeup on,but you just stare at her and you are like wow! she is beautiful..you envy her and wonder why people are drawn to her. There is a huge probability that she has worked on her inner beauty more that she has worked on the outside.

A woman filled with Love,joy,peace,patience,kindness,goodness,faithfulness,gentleness and self control is beautiful.She smiles with  a heart of love,she comports herself even in the most tense situation,you can't see her bust out in anger or yell off a curse word at anyone.she values herself,so others value her,she feels confident and others can see it,she takes care of her body,eats well,sleep well,works hard,cares for those around her,she is a blessing to others,she stands up for herself and the weak.she is a virtuous woman,her worth is far above rubies(prov 31:10). She simply looks beautiful in whatever she puts on.

If u spend a lot of time thinking about your problems,they will grow bigger & stronger. Is that what u want? Of course not. Instead,focus on your goals. Keep them in the forefront of your mind from the moment your wake up,throughout the morning,the afternoon,the evening,until u go to bed at night. Your thoughts are yours.They are completely under your control. So u might as well use them to benefit yourself and to please God.

Every woman is important to us, and every woman's life must be shaped to truly fit God's purpose and make her a useful vessel in his hands,we are not concerned about race, age,educational background,culture, or whoever you think you are, what you have gone through, or where you come from,but what God wants to make you into.
